11 Band Members Of La Reyna de Monterrey Reported Dead After Crash

Monterrey,  Nuevo León, Mexico - On Saturday,  the Mexican federal police confirmed that 11 band members of La Reyna de Monterrey died and four members were reported injured, including the band singer Oliver Palomo Dàvila, 28. He told police that they were returning to Monterrey from an overnight gig at the Lagito Bar in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas when the accident occurred around 7:50 a.m. on Saturday in the municipality of Hidalgo along the Nuevo Laredo-Monterrey highway stretch.
Police suspect, the driver of the van transporting the band members became drowsy, deviated from his lane and then struck head-on a TNL Express transport trailer. Most of the band members were ejected from the van and killed on impact, according to the federal police highway division. 
The other surviving band members are,  Lino Obregón Vázquez, Alejandro Vázquez, 21, and Marx Rogelio Garcia Muñoz, 23.
Alberto López Vázquez, 20, died in a local hospital. The other 10 members of the band died at the scene.
Six of the deceased have been identified as, Miguel Angel Torres Arellano, 19, Antonio Torres Arellano, 22, Rubén Paz Martínez, 28, Luis Antonio Arellano Ortega, 22, Josè Guadalupe Flores Paderes, 21, and Diego Armando Vázquez Vázquez, 20.
The band played Sinaloense style of music and were from Guanajuato, Oaxaca and Querétaro.
