Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Voces de la Frontera (VDLF), dozens of supporters and children held an outdoor vigil for Father's Day. The children with signs and Father's Day cards were advocating for U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R) to support an immediate halt to deportations that separate families.
Eight of the children went to Johnson's office to deliver the cards with messages wishing each could embrace their father during the weekend Father's Day gatherings. Another eight children went to Washington, D.C. to speak with Sen. Johnson and other public officials in an attempt to lobby for fewer deportations and a just immigration bill with a path to citizenship.
