Miranda Extradited To Illinois To Face Charges For Ramos Homicide And Dismemberment In Chicago

,

Milton J. Miranda

Foul odor from buried dismembered corpse in backyard alerted neighbors to call police.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 30, 2013

Chicago, Illinois - On Sunday, Milton J. Miranda, 28, aka, "Wilton Silvera or Milton Miranda-Protillo," of Honduras was charged with first-degree murder for the May 21 brutal homicide and dismemberment of José Reyes Ramos, 30, of Honduras in Chicago. Mirnada was extradited on Saturday from Morris County, New Jersey to face charges and was ordered held without bail.
In October, Chicago police detectives after executing a warrant dug up multiple plastic garbage bags containing the decaying dismemberment body parts of José Reyes Ramos. Daisy Gutiérrez, 19, of Chicago was charged with first-degree murder and her father Salvador Gutiérrez, 56, of Chicago has been charged with hiding a corpse. Both suspects are from Mexico. Salvador is being held on a $500,000 cash bond and Daisy on a $2M cash bond.
Daisy's current boyfriend, Miranda, and Daisy fled Illinois to avoid prosecution.
Miranda was arrested in October in Morris County, New Jersey on a domestic warrant for failing to show up for court, when authorities later discovered that he was also wanted in connection for a Chicago homicide. Miranda was being held until he is extradited to Illinois. Both Daisy and Miranda went to New Jersey shortly after killing Ramos, according to Chicago authorities.
Daisy is being held at a Cook County jail medical facility and is five months pregnant. Both Daisy and her father confessed to authorities about the homicide.
Daisy in October told homicide investigators that last May, she invited Ramos to her residence at 5100 block of S. Springfield Avenue. While she was undressing in her bedroom as Ramos watched, her current boyfriend, Miranda walked in and hit Ramos with a pipe and then slid his throat.
She later contacted her father about the murder. He came over and watched Miranda dismember Ramos. They took the body parts in bags to Salvador's home. Salvador took three hours to dig up a hole in his backyard at the 8300 block of S. Scottsdale Avenue and then buried the corpse.
Last October, neighbors called authorities that a bad smell was coming from Salvador's backyard. When authorities dug up the area where the smell was coming from, they found Ramos body parts in bags.
Jorge Monaca Ramos, 28, of Honduras, who is José's brother had dated Daisy for three years and had two children, now ages 2 and 1. Daisy has another 3-year-old child and is expecting another one.
They separated after a rocky relationship that Jorge says, it was Daisy's jealousy and threats of killing members of my family, which led to the separation.
Jorge even changed his phone number to stop Daisy from calling him and leaving threatening text messages that he was going to be sorry and pay for splitting up. Ramos went missing in May and missing person flyers of Ramos were distributed in the neighborhood,  according to Jorge.

Chicago Aunt's Boyfriend Dismembered As Horrific Christmas Present

,
Alexis Valdez and Silvestre Díaz-Hernández

Valdez killed and decapitated his aunt's boyfriend Díaz-Hernández as a Christmas gift for having him move out.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 27, 2013

Chicago, IL - On Friday, Alexis Valdez, 18, was charged with murder in connection with the early Christmas Day discovery of a decapitated body of Silvestre Díaz-Hernández, 41. Police were called around 2:00 a.m. to a Belmont Gardens neighborhood apartment where Díaz-Hernández was found in the basement at his apartment located in the 2500 block of North Kildare Ave.
Valdez within minutes was taken into custdy near the apartment without incident and charged with first-degree murder. Police recovered a knife believed to have been used by Valdez to murder and decapitate Díaz-Hernández, who was from Guerrero, Mexico.
Valdez admitted to killing his aunt's boyfriend after she had told him to move out of their apartment. He failed to stay in school, find a job and contribute to the household needs.
Both Valdez and Díaz-Hernández after drinking on Christmas Eve and heading out to get more alcohol to drink, Valdez planned to kill Díaz-Hernández while his aunt was attending another Christmas party.
When they returned to the apartment, Valdez grabbed a hammer from the porch where he hid it and fatally hit Díaz-Hernández in the head multiple times. Valdez then played loud music to hide the noise as he decapitated his victim's head, cut off his ears, nose and mouth, including his arms, legs and only leaving the torso. Valdez also forcibly pulled out the victim's eyeballs with his bare fingers.
Valdez then took the severe head, nose, ears, mouth, eyeballs and placed them in his aunt's bed as a Christmas present, according to the criminal complaint.
Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas ordered Valdez held without bail. Valdez murder and admission to brutally killing his aunt's boyfriend and then dismembering the body is the most gruesome case recorded in Cook County's history.
Cook County assistant prosecutor Kingsley Sawyers says, Valdez after the murder got tired and called 911 to report a dead body, when the 911 operator asked, if he tried CPR, Valdez laughed and told the operator, Díaz-Hernández had been decapitated.
Valdez also admitted, that if his aunt would have come home and found the severe head, he would have also killed her, according to Sawyers.
Díaz-Hernández is survived by a 17-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son and four step children.

Homeless man, unknown

Christmas Eve and should be the busiest day to get donations as a homeless man down on his luck.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 24, 2013

St. Paul, MN - On Tuesday, I thought I've seen it all, but life is full of surprises. Just saw a homeless man next to I-94E and 10E with a sign that says, "Lost everything, but my faith." No wonder he is homeless. In a capitalist nation, people can't live or survive on faith alone, but can be a step in the right direction.
A friend says, he should be shoveling snow somewhere to make money, but at -12 degrees? He is probably trying to scam people into giving up some hard earned cash on Christmas Eve? My friend believes that the homeless man is just panhandling.  Who knows, what do you think?

LULAC National, Ronald McDonald's House Charities HACER Exclude DREAMers From $100K In Scholarships

,
LULAC national and the Ronald McDonald's House Charities working to provide over $100K in scholarships to inspiring Hispanics who want to attend colleges, but DREAMers are excluded from participating.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 23, 2013

Washington, D.C. - League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Education Service Centers, Inc. (LNESC) and the Ronald McDonald's House Charities/HACER National Scholarship (RMHC/HACER) have teamed up to offer more than $100K in scholarships to eligible inspiring Latino students who want to pursue a college or university education. Hispanic high school students that are eligible are encouraged to apply before the January 21, deadline to LNESC and RMHC/HACER.
Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) has learned that both scholarship providers have continued to discriminate against DREAMers for years, despite, undocumented families and DREAMers that have supported LULAC events and patronize McDonald Restaurants. In other words, it's alright for undocumented immigrants to continue to fund LULAC events and march with LULAC signs during immigration reform rallies and to buy burgers and products from McDonald's, but it's a shame that their children are excluded from the very same funding sources that their parents helped generate.
Only eligible high school students that are U.S. Citizens or legal residents can qualify, according to the scholarship application requirements to participate.
More than $23M scholarships have been awarded, since 1985 and RMHC/HACER scholarships range from $1,000 to $100,000 per student.
It's also unfortunate and wrong that the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation who sponsors Milwaukee's three day annual Mexican Fiesta, including several LULAC Councils 319 and 322 continue to deny scholarships to DREAMers, shame on them for exploiting undocumented Raza and not giving becas (scholarships) to their children.

Full story, scholarships denied by LULAC national and Mexican Fiesta at link: http://bit.ly/1665WHr

It's the first time in history that the Senate has confirmed a nominee while he has a pending investigation. The Democrats changed the rules of a filibuster by making it just a majority vote to gain approval for Mayorkas. The U.S. Senate is controlled by Democrats and President Barack H. Obama nominated Mayorkas as deputy director of DHS.
Also, President Obama nominated Leon Rodriguez to become chief of USCIS and replace outgoing Mayorkas. Rodriguez is the current Director of the Office for Civil Rights of the Department of Health and Human Services. From January 2010 until September 2011, Leon was the Chief of Staff and Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.

H2TC Website Forum Reveals Children Rented Or Sold For Sex Pleasure Via Morelia

,
Underground website "Hard 2 The Core" subforum reveals users discussing fantasies and sexual exploitation of children ranging in ages from 1 to 11, which could be rented for $4K or can be bought as sex slaves for only $10k.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 19, 2013

Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico - Mexican hackers have found an underground website called "Hard 2 The Core" (H2TC) where anonymous users can register by signing up to join and participate in various discussions, not limiting the sexual exploitation of children. Under a subforum on Child Sex & Prostitution, a user identified himself as "Horny Ivan" discusses how he paid more than $30k, for two children ages 2 and 6 and a 4-year-old girl. Each of the children were sold for $10k each and had to pay extra after they died from sexual abuse at a ranch that Ivan owns. The girl was also shared with a friend of his, which both sexually abused the child until she died.
Horny Ivan told other users interested in renting a child either a boy or girl between the ages of 2 to 11 for sexual pleasure that each would cost $52,000 pesos ($4,000 U.S.) to rent a child and $130,000 pesos ($10,000 U.S.) to buy a child. The children apparently won't be missed by anyone, if they're accidentally killed or murdered during sex acts. The children are provided for the absolute pleasure and to fulfill any sexual fantasy of the buyer, according to Horny Ivan. Ivan says, he had used the service at least five times and had sex with infants from one year old to 8-years-old, but three of them died from sexual pleasure and agony. Having this type of sexual addiction can break your bank, if your not careful, Ivan explained.
The Michoacan hackers notified the Mexican National Security Council and the Federal Police cybersecurity office about the website and the subforum discussions of renting and buying children younger than 11-years-old, including death as an end result of the brutal sexual abuse endured by the victims.
The H2TC discussions also reveal that the trafficking of these children extends to Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Oaxaca and Morelia. Arrangements by human traffickers can deliver the children at any hotel or home, at any city and state possible, provide a cellphone just in case they have to disappear quickly, if the child dies during the sex acts, according to the posts.
Another user adviced others not to use Mexico City as a delivery place to act out their sexual fantasies with children, but to use coastal rural towns or cities where less police anti-sexual exploitation of children exists.
The Mexican authorities have not indicated, if any children have been actually killed during the sexual encounters with demented pedophiles. But Horny Ivan began using another user name, "Babysnuff2013" to continue discussions on H2TC website.
On December 9, Fausto Vallejo Figueroa, the Governor of Michoacan held a press conference to announce that an investigation has been launched to dismantle an organized pedophile network working out of Morelia that has been using the internet to post and exchanging photos of underage children on an underground website to traffic children for sexual exploitation. Figueroa acted after the Michoacan hackers exposed the Morelia underground pedophile network that is using the Internet to traffic children for sex.
Figueroa stated, that the Michoacan justice department, the Federal Police and Mexico's Attorney General's Office are working together to dismantle the pedophile network in Michoacan.

NSA And Obama's Personal White House Phone Lines Hacked

,

The White House is looking into who hacked into the president's personal phonelines, including his cellphone.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 19, 2013

Washington, D.C. - Since Monday, the White House internal executive security has been investigating an alleged unauthorized hacking of President Barack H. Obama's personal phonelines at the White House, including his cellphone. The NSA and the five panel secret judges have also been compromised by unknown hackers, according to leaked intelligence reports on the Internet and social networks.
The NSA has been hacking and gathering massive metadata from millions of Americans, which recently a federal judge ruled that it was unconstitutional. Under the Obama administration and authorization, the NSA tapped into personal cellphones and phone lines of other foreign presidents and world leaders to get their dirty skeletons from the closets. It wouldn't be a surprise,  if in return they also hacked into the NSA and the White House.
The White House is keeping the hacking under wraps and won't confirm, if an investigation has determined that other foreign nations are responsible for the hacking. The NSA is also not saying anything about their metadata being compromised due to a national security issue.
It seems, that whistleblower Edward Snowden isn't the only one with secret files from the NSA. But Snowden is now being credited for taking down the NSA by exposing their illegal wiring tapping and the massive illegal metadata gathering of information from millions of Americans and foreign leaders as well.
Snowden will definitely take credit for removing the military head of the NSA and the foreseeable replacement of the corrupt five panel of secret judges who approved the illegal gathering of data, which has nothing to do with preventing terrorism.

El Chapo Guzman Loera Arrest Eminent Intelligence Sources Indicate

,

Joaquin Guzman Loera, aka, "El Chapo" and Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada Garcia

El Cartel de Sinaola facing critical blow as intelligence gathered by an international law enforcement task force gets closer to crippling its entire operation and capturing several of its leaders.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 18, 2013

Mexico City - Intelligence sources indicate that its just a matter of time when two of the major Sinaloa drug cartel leaders, Joaquin Guzman Loera, aka, "El Chapo" and Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada Garcia are taken into custody alive or dead. The U.S. has offered a $5M reward for any information leading to their whereabouts and the Mexican government has offered at least $3M for each suspect.
The U.S. indicted both Loera and Garcia for drug trafficking and money laundering, which extradition to the U.S. will be a priority for the DEA to avoid Loera from ever escaping from prison again as he did 11 years ago and has remained on the run from Mexican and U.S. authorities.
The anti-drug task force, including INTERPOL have been tracking the movements of both wanted drug lords and their expanded web of drug trafficking in Central and South America, the U.S. and europe.
The arrest of both drug lords will be a major blow to the billion dollar Sinaloa drug trafficking operations originating in Mexico and no doubt, high ranking corrupt political and law enforcement officials protecting Loera and Garcia will also face their day in court.

Parents of several teenagers filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Waukegan and two Waukegan police detectives for abusing and physical assaulting a 13-year-old boy.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 13, 2013

Waukegan, Illinois - The Lake County News-Sun reported that the parents of Jonathan Garcia, 13, and Giorgio Pérez, 14, on Monday filed a federal lawsuit in Chicago against the City of Waukegan and two Waukegan police detectives. The parents claimed that their children endured abuse, were threaten with harm, emotional trauma, obscenities by detectives and the youngest was physically assaulted with a cellphone causing a fractured nose. The lawsuit says that on November 26, police went to Pérez's house after a nearby home had its window broken. The police entered Pérez home without a warrant and asked for the shoes that both Garcia and Pérez were wearing to see, if they matched the foot prints left on the snow leading to Pérez home.
They were taken into custody, while at the Waukegan police station, a detective grabbed Garcia's arm and choked him in order for him to spit out his gum after he refused to signs some documents. The detective engaged in obscenities and threaten to harm the teen, if he didn't confess and then grabbed Garcia's cellphone and smacked the teen's face with it, fracturing Garcia's nose and breaking the phone.
Pérez was taken to the Hulse Juvenile Detention Center in Vernon Hills where he was stripped searched. A detective told Pérez that a boy sharing his room was charged with sexually assaulting a teen, according to the lawsuit.
The detectives weren't identified, because information requested by an attorney representing the teens had not received the arrest records. The teens were not charged for any offense, according to the teen's attorney.

NSA Under Obama's Administration Collected Cellphone Data Illegally Federal Judge Rules

,
U.S. Judge Richard J. Leon, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and President Barack H. Obama

The National Security Council's (NSC) secret program exposed by Snowden that collected cellphone data and spied on all American citizens deemed unconstitutional.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 17, 2013

Washington, D.C. - On Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Leon ruled that NSA's mass surveillance collection of metadata from every phone call made in the U.S. and calls received from foreign countries "most certainly" violated federal law and was deemed unconstitutional. Judge Leon wrote in his decision, "I cannot imagine a more 'indiscriminate' and 'arbitrary' invasion than this systematic and high-tech collection and retention of personal data on virtually every single citizen for purposes of querying and analyzing it without prior judicial approval...Surely, such a program infringes on 'that degree of privacy' that the founders enshrined in the Fourth Amendment," which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures.
Judge Leon's decision vindicated NSA whisleblower Edward Snowden, who in last Spring first exposed the NSA's illegal gathering of cellphone metadata from Verizon, Sprint, AT&T internet service, Google/Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook and Apple.
To some Americans, Snowden is considered a national hero for exposing the illegal gathering of metadata by the NSA and the Obama administration. To other Americans who don't value their Fourth Amendment protection right to privacy and don't mind that the NSA is tapping into their private calls see Snowden as a traitor. They believe that Freedom isn't free and the NSA can spy on them, but to allow the government to infringe on their constitutional guarantee and protection against illegal search and seizures is not protected under the law.
Several lawsuits were filed in June and involved five plaintiffs,  including Larry Klayman, who claimed Obama's NSA collection of data from millions of Americans violated the Fourth Amendment protection against unlawful search and seizures, and had nothing to do with preventing terrorism. Judge Leon agreed with Klayman. Judge Leon's Monday 68-page decision vindicated Snowden and sheds light to an massive illegal gathering of information from Americans by the NSA and the Obama administration. Leon's decision also indicates that the secret panel of judges that makeup the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court erred in their decision in allowing the NSA to engage in the massive spying and metadata collection of information from millions of Americans who were not suspected or subject of an investigation for terrorism.
Judge Leon also ordered the NSA to stop collecting data and to  destroy all information and records gathered from two plaintiffs, but stayed his decision to destroy the documents until the case is finally resolved due to an expected appeal by the Obama administration. The Obama administration plans to appeal Judge Leon's decision.
Snowden responds to Judge Leon's decision. Snowden from Russia released the following statement through Glenn Greenwald, a journalist who distributed it to media outlets. Snowden stated, "I acted on my belief that the N.S.A.'s mass surveillance programs would not withstand a constitutional challenge, and that the American public deserved a chance to see these issues determined by open courts...Today, a secret program authorized by a secret court was, when exposed to the light of day, found to violate Americans' rights. It is the first of many."

Diplomat From India Charged With Visa Fraud And Lying

,

Devyani Khobragade

Khobragade is facing up to 15 years in a federal prison, if convicted for visa fraud and making false statements.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 16, 2013

New York, New York - Last Thursday,  Devyani Khobragade, 39, of Mumbai, India's acting consul general and deputy consul general for political, economic, commercial and women's affairs at the New York Indian Consulate General was charged with two federal felony counts for visa fraud and making false statements. She was taken into custody by feds while she dropped her child at a school. She has two young girls.
Khobragade posted a $250,000 bail after pleading not guilty in court on Thursday and had to surrender all her travel documents. If convicted, Khobragade is facing up to 15 years in a federal prison. She is due back in court next month.
Khobragade's lawyer attempted to use diplomatic immunity,  but the U.S. denied the claim and says, visa fraud is not covered under the Vienna convention.
Khobragade allegedly made false statements when she applied for a visa for a house worker who was a babysitter. The criminal complaint states, Khobragade paid her babysitter $3.31 an hour and worked more than 40 hours per week. She claimed in the visa application, which she helped the worker fill out and to falsify, that she paid the domestic worker from India 4,500 per month. Authorities say, another document used as a contract between Khobragade and the worker showed that she actually paid her $3,927 less per month than what was reported on the visa application. She actually paid the domestic worker $500 per month, far less than the NY minimum wage of $9.75.
Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern Dristrict of New York says, that domestic workers brought to work in the U.S. from foreign countries deserve the same wage as other American workers are guarantee to get.
Federal prosecutors say, both her husband and the doemstic worker involved are expected to testify against Khobragade.
Khobragade is known for advocating for women's rights, but the federal criminal charges has embarrassed the diplomat.

DACA DREAMer Risks Deportation For Civil Disobedience Action To Halt ICE Facilty Detainee Removals

DREAMers with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) risking arrest and deportation for civil disobedience action to halt removal of fellow nationals from the U.S.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 16, 2013

Fairfax, Virginia - On Monday, "a group of 9 protestors just blocked the entrance and exit of deportation vans at the Fairfax, Virginia Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, holding the President accountable for the thousands of deportations expected before Congress returns from Winter break," Notonemoredeportation dot org reported. Among those chaining themselves in protest and blocking the ICE facility exit was Blanca Hernández, a DREAMer and a DACA recipient. Hernández is one of many undocumented immigrants that have received federal work permits and a temperary stay from being detained and deported under President Barack H. Obama's DACA program. She has joined the immigration reform movement as many other DACA recipients have and are now risking their newly temporary acquired legal status to remain in the U.S. without fear of deportation.
In order to qualify for DACA, DREAMers must not have a criminal record or a misdemeanor sentence of one year, which will automatically set forth deportation proceedings as legal permanent residence card holders fall into when in violation of a federal law that allows ICE to deportation those non-cifizens who are legally in the country for minor violations.
Blanca Hernández, one of the protesters chaining herself to the ICE office this morning says, "I have DACA, but people in my family and so many other people in my community are excluded. Its only fair for everybody to have the same opportunity because we all came here searching for the same thing," Notonemoredeportation reported.
The group is one of dozens that have taken direct action to block a few hundred of some of the 400,000 of Obama's yearly deportation qoutas. Hernández who has been in the country for 24 years as an undocument immigrant and other protesters believe Obama has the power to halt deportations. They want Obama to halt deportations and provide relief to families immediately as he did with DACA beneficiaries.
Hernández says, "For the president to say that he can't do anything is the biggest lie he can tell the community. During his electoral campaign he said he was ready to take action. I do this to remind him that he needs to keep that promise, and for all the families that continue to be separated, hoping that it stops."
No DACA recipient has lost their temperary legal status and deported as of yet for protesting during immigration reform action and civil disobedience, but that can change.
All DACA beneficiaries are at risk of deportation in the future, if a non-friendly immigrant president is elected. That president's administration can void Obama's temperary DACA program and engage in the deportation of those undocumented immigrants that signed up for DACA relief.
Last Friday, the GOP leadership of the U.S. House of Representatives ended their 2013 voting session without moving forward and voting on an immigration reform bill. The U.S. Senate passed their own version of an immigration bill, but it will automatically died at the end of the year due to no action by the House. The House failure to pass a bill will linger for the next six to eight years, depending who will control both the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and the White House.
Unless, immigrant rights groups, DACA beneficiaries, supporters for immigration reform take direct national action by managing their spending and buying power of an estimated $2.5T economic financial input in the U.S. to influence change and immigration reform, they are destine to repeat the 2013 Congressional and presidential failure to pass immigration reform in the next decade at least.

Legal Controversy Brewing Over Booting Attended Vehicles At Waukegan Business Parking Lots

,

Photo courtesy of Lake County News Sun

Business owners hired Chicago Parking Management, a security company to boot and tow vehicles of parents briefly dropping off high schoolers in private lots near school.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 16, 2013

Waukegan, Illinois - Controversy over the legality of business owners allowing a hired parking lot security company from the Chicago Parking Management, Inc. to immobilize offenders that briefly enter a lot to drop off Waukegan High School students is brewing, according to the Lake County News-Sun (LCNS). The LCNS reported, that drivers in vehicles are blocked from leaving the ungated parking lot once they are spotted by hired security for the businesses. The offenders are booted while their vehicles are still running, but can't leave because they have been blocked by security vehicles.
In other states, such an aggressive tactic is considered a scam by the businesses involved and the security firm that is hired to immobilize and boot vehicles while parking lot offenders are still in their vehicles.
Offenders who are mostly Spanish speaking drivers have to pay up to $125 to get the boot removed and avoid a tow.
It's clearly illegal and a gross violation by the business owners and those putting on the boots to immobilized vehicles while the drivers are still inside the vehicles, even if it's a private business parking lot. Businesses are given city permits to operate in Waukegan and thus by having an open parking lot, vehicles can't be immobilized for profit. Offenders have to be allowed to leave the private parking, if they refuse for whatever reason, vehicles can be cited and then towed at the owners expense.
If a driver happens to leave the vehicle unattended at a private business parking lot and is not shopping at the business and clear signs are placed warning that an unauthorized vehicle is subject to be booted, a fine and will also be towed at the owners expense would be legal.
4th Ward Alderman Harold Beadling told LCNS, that business owners around the high school had to hire a parking lot security company after parents dropping off their high school children in their parking lots kept customers from entering the lots to park and shop. Business owners should be supported, since they pay taxes, according to Beadling. But parents dropping off their children also pay taxes and shouldn't be scammed and forced to pay for a boot to be removed by the businesses.
City officials in Waukegan have received complaints about the legality of immobilizing vehicles while drivers are still inside and not allowing vehicles to leave or be given a warning not to park in the lot.
Steve Martin, the Waukegan city attorney was not available for comment and was unaware of the questionable booting by the hired security at businesses near the 1000 and 1100 block of Washington Street near the high school. Martin is expected to review the booting tactics used by the involved businesses and the company that they hired, according to David Motley, spokesperson for the City of Waukegan.
Martin should force the security company to refund all the money taken from booting and towing to its victims, once he can confirm that Waukegan has no ordinance and the state does not have any established law allowing such scams, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. found.

21-year-old Man Arrested For Jumping Turnstiles At Mexico D.F. Metro

,
Several Mexico City police officers stationed at the Coyoacàn Metro station arrested a 21-year-old man after jumping the turnstiles in protest of higher ticket prices.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 15, 2013

Mexico City - On Saturday, a 21-year-old man was taken into custody around 1:00 p.m. by two Mexico, D.F. police officers, Arturo Cruz L. with badge number 34494 and M. Degadillo R. after jumping a turnstile and video taping his own illegal arrest with an iPod. The man told the officers, that he jumped the turnstiles in protest of recently raised prices to ride the Metrotrain. He was a lone protester, according to the man.
The man is then searched by Officer Cruz L. and taken to a near by office at the Metro. Officer Delgadillo R. tells the man its not a civil offense to jump the turnstile, but the man continues to be detained.
Officer Cruz L. gets agitated as the man continues to video record his incident. The officer then reacts by putting his arm around the man's neck while choking him and forces him to the ground. In the back ground, Officer Degadillo tells Officer Cruz L. to let go and leave the man alone. As the man hits the ground, his iPod screen breaks.
Officer Cruz L. defends his actions by telling the man, that its illegal to video record. The man is then walked to the number 10 B. Juarez delegation to be processed as the man in a loud voice repeatedly continues to say, "I'm being arrested for jumping the turnstiles, protesting higher prices to use the metro and for video recording...they are violating my right of free expression."
According to Mexico, D.F. metro laws, it's not a civil offense, if someone jumps the turnstiles. Anyone caught jumping the trunstiles is escorted out of the metro or can pay their way back in to ride the subtrain. Also, it isn't illegal to video tape your own arrest as Officer Cruz L. tries to interpret.
Officer Cruz L. undoubtedly used his authority to abuse the man and damaged the man's property, while unlawfully detaining him. The man never resisted as he was arrested and choked by Officer Cruz L.
The ticket price for riding the Collective Metro Transport System in Mexico City was raised by 15 cents on Saturday, from $3.00 pesos (23 cents U.S.) to $5.00 pesos (38 cents U.S.). More than 5.2 million people use the Metro system on a daily basis.
The Metro officials couldn't estimate how many people jumped the turnstiles, since the price of riding the Metrotrain was raised yesterday.
The video has gone viral on the social networks and YouTube.

Florence, Arizona - On early Friday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deported Ardani Rosales Lemos to Guatemala around 2:00 a.m. (MST) ensuring his death under the hands of La Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13 gang). Lemos, a pastor came to the U.S. in 2005 shortly after nearly being beaten to death by the gang for working to keep teenagers from getting into gangs.
Lemos an undocumented immigrant who asked for asylum in the U.S.,  but was denied was busted last year for a traffic violation. He had been detained for a year and was deported early this morning while a vigil by activists and family was being held outside the deportation processing center.
According to those at the vigil, several decoy bus were used by ICE and several vans with at least 15 ICE agents who took part in escorting Lemos from a back exit of the Florence Service Processing Center 3250 N. Pinal Parkway to an airport.
Lemos leaves a 2-year-old son named Pablo and a 10-month-old daughter, both U.S. Citizens.
A detainee locator search with ICE shows Lemos is no longer in custody.
Shame on President Barack H. Obama and Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for allowing Lemos to be deported and to face certain death by La Mara Salvatrucha gang in Guatemala.

Arizona DREAMer Pressured ICE To Grant One Year Stay For Undocumented Mother

,
Erika Andiola and Maria Arreola

ICE grants a one year stay for Andiola's mother.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 12, 2013

Mesa, Arizona - On Thursday, Erika Andiola, of Mesa is a former Washington, D.C. staffer to U.S. Congresswoman Krysten Simena (AZ-D) and DREAMer announced that her mother, Maria Arreola, 54, was granted a one year stay. Andiola who receceived her legal work permit in November under DACA had quit her position as an outreach director with Simena's office to concentrate on effords to prevent her mother from being deported to Mexico in January.
DREAMers who receive legal work permits from the federal government can not legally apply for driver licenses in Arizona under Governor Jan Brewer (R).
Today Andiola posted in her Facebook account that, "ICE has granted another year stay to my mom!!! Thank you so much for your support. It took for me to quit my job to be able to speak the truth about what they are doing with our families. ICE decided to give her the stay before she even had to show up on January. THIS IS THE POWER OF OUR COMMUNITY! Now let's get the President to stop deportations while congress gets their act together and pass a legislative fix!"
Andiola doesn't plan to return to work for U.S. Representative Simena anytime soon, but will continue to concentrate in the movement for immigration reform and keep families united.
Congresswoman Simena in a released statement said, "I am pleased that ICE did the right thing and is allowing Erika's mother to stay with her family. But there are still thousands of Arizona families waiting for Congress to fix our broken immigration system. We need to pass common sense reform that keeps families together, secures our border and grows our economy."
Immigration reform organizations and activists around the nation have conceded that the U.S. House of Representatives will not passed a bill this year, with only one more day left of House business for 2013. The House will reconvene in January after it goes on recess on Friday.
Andiola is now advocating for Ardani Rosales Lemos (A#098-918-011) of Guatemala who is scheduled to be deported back to his native country where he is facing death in the hands of La Mara Salvatrucha, a notorious gang. Lemos who has a two year old son, left Guatemala and arrived in the U.S. in 2005, after he was nearly beaten to death for keeping teenagers from gangs. He asked for asylum in the U.S., but he was arrested for a minor traffic violation and remained locked up for a year at the Eloy Detention Center.
Andiola is now helping to keep Lemos in the U.S., he is facing deportation on Friday.

Undocumented Arizona State Police Detective Resigns

,
Carmen Figueroa

Former detective Figueroa worked for the Arizona State Police for at least ten years.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 12, 2013

Phoenix, Arizona - On Monday, Carmen Figueroa, 42, resigned from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (state police) after it was learned in mid August that she was undocumented. Figueroa was working as a detective for the state police.
She was based in Tucson as an officer, but in 2010, she was promoted to detective in the criminal investigation division with the state police.
On September 4, Figueroa was suspended with pay pending the outcome of her citizenship status. Her legal status was discovered after her brother who is in the military solicited a U.S. Passport from the State Department and it was learned that he was not a citizen. The State Department also learned about Figueroa's job and found she was undocumented as well.
The State Department notified the Arizona State Police of her non-citizenship status and an investigation was initiated. A state police officer must to be a U.S. Citizen to get hired in Arizona.
Figueroa knew that she would eventually get fired, but last Monday, she resigned from the state police.
Figueroa was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and she was brought into the U.S. at an early age. She contends that her mother led her to believe she was a U.S. Citizen.
When she applied to become a state police officer, Figueroa submitted a birth certificate from Texas, a driver's license and a high school diploma from California, according to Bart Graves, Spokesman from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The DPS is now investigating, if Figueroa falsify documents and information when she joined the department and whether she will be prosecuted. Most likely, Figueroa will eventually be deported as a plea deal with the feds and to avoid a trial.
Figueroa before joining the DPS, she worked as a secretary for the federal Bureau of Prisons and for the Pima County court system as a secretary and officer.
Other non-citizens busted in law enforcement, in 2007, Oscar Ayala-Cornejo, now 30, was deported to Mexico after it was learned through a tip that he was an undocumented Immigrant working as Milwaukee police officer under his dead cousin's name, Jose Morales. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Ayala-Cornejo at the Milwaukee Second Police District Station.
He pleaded guilty to a felony charge for falsely claiming to be a U.S. Citizen. He was deported after completing his three month sentence.
His brother, Alexander Ayala, a U.S. Citizen and a Milwaukee police officer was terminated, but his dismissal was overturned by the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission. He received a temporary suspension without pay after it was learned that he knew that Ayala-Cornejo began using his dead cousin's birth certificate in 1999 when he was in high school. Ayala also knew that it was illegal for a non-citizen to become a police officer in Milwaukee and Ayala did not notified the department of his brother's illegal status and false identity.
Ayala-Cornejo was well known and volunteered for the Mexican Fiesta annual event, which his aunt is currently the executive director and Ayala is the current president of the Latino Peace Officers Association,  which is a volunteer security team for the three day Mexican Fiesta.
